Many of us are often preoccupied with materialistic goods and our jobs that we tend to shun natural beauty that is in front of us, providing the needs for us, humans, to survive. As of now, we are amidst Phase 2, which means we are not allowed to go out as often as we wish to and admire the beauty of nature. Looking back, when the governmental board announced to the nation that we would be placed under a nationwide lockdown, I was in full panic mode. Being encaged in your home could be a blessing to some but it was a torturous one for me. I resort to Mother Earth to seek inspiration and serenity.

Mother nature is something incomparable – nothing in this world could ever reciprocate its wonders. Something money could never buy.

The way the leaves unfurl, expanding them big and wide to receive sunlight. The way the flower blooms when it reaches maturity. The way it is ever-growing and ever-changing, succumbing to the weather’s will. It is as if everything that is different works together as one ecosystem – like a family. The trees give us natural shade when the sun is at its peak. The fragrance emitted from the flowers pollutes the air with a scent of its own, attracting vertebrates for pollination and for us to experience the redolence of nature. The fresh taste of sweetness when we bite into the fruits that are plucked from them. Yet, we still find a way to be unappreciative of life.

It is crystal clear that we use many natural materials because of their beauty, everywhere we go. For example, the items in our houses, offices, workplaces, and schools. One commonly used natural material is the big wooden dining table that is possible in your home too! It is constructed solely for dining in with our loved ones. Its main function is to provide support for the meals and beverages that are being placed on top of it. However, the magic to that is how it connects people, especially hungry people! How it brings everyone together to just sit down, say their blessings, feast on the sustenance, and talk about life while they’re at it. It is the vulnerability that allows one to understand each other. The vulnerability ignites the spark within us and lowers our walls down. Who isn’t feeling vulnerable when his or her stomach is empty?

The work of many creators here has seen and felt the connection, even by just sitting and eating on their wooden dining tables and working chairs. Henceforth, I believe that it is that form of intimacy that they wish to share with you, our consumers. With excellent woodworks and craftsmanship, users like you and I can get to experience that sort of connection.

The type of wood, that has been meticulously formed, plays a huge role in ensuring that the connection is there. The smooth edges of the table assure you that safety and quality are of utmost priority. Ergonomics was taken into full account; observed through the legs of the table and chairs, how they are placed, its thickness, length, and size.

One might simply view it as a piece of wood; but to designers and art enthusiasts, they know that there is more than meets the eye.

The collaboration between the creative mind of a designer and nature’s marvels allows endless possibilities. The works created are divine.
